Interesting facts about the dh2 venue:

It used to be a prison. As part of the rehab programme introduced in 1859,
convicts were forced to walk at a brisk pace on the "treadmill" which
essentially was a revolving staircase from 9.00am - 5.00pm every day. 5
minute breaks were permitted every hour. When inmates got lazy and slackened off the pace, rotating planks would lacerate their shins.
