Discussing the affair with a founding "agent" of etoy (not active anymore):

From the point of view of exposure, etoy has achieved more than it
could have hoped for (to the point to become part of the MOMA history
by performing there plus coverage in all the major outlets). It has
become a successful art concept.

In terms of "playing the corporate game" as an art concept we feel
that etoy has not come up with a very good  corporate communication
strategy. This "war", "boycott" etc. as a defense concept is "out of
context" for an art group that enjoyed playing with corporate icons.
We would have expected a much more aloof, mature, professional
communications strategy.

Hence I would venture: The fight for etoy may be the end of etoy .
